Rental Requirements:
DRIVER LICENSE
A valid government-issued driver’s license will be required of all drivers at the time of rental. The license may not be expired, cracked, broken, or a temporary permit/license. International customers will be required to provide a passport, international drivers license (not required, but recommended), and are required to purchase our Personal Protection Package insurance coverage. We will NOT waive this charge.
MINIMUM DRIVING AGEAll drivers must be 21 years or older.
INSURANCE REQUIREMENTSAll renters (except international customers) are required to provide proof of full coverage liability insurance.
We provide supplemental insurance coverage that you may elect to add at the time of booking. NOTICE: Credit cards DO NOT carry liability coverage and will NOT be accepted as insurance. Credit cards are secondary coverage and only cover damage to the rented vehicle. They do not offer coverage in the event of any liability claims.
INTERNATIONAL RENTERSAll international renters are required to purchase the Personal Protection Package at $37.50 per day in order to rent a vehicle with us (we do not accept any credit cards for insurance coverage) We may waive this requirement if the renter brings verifiable proof of FULL COVERAGE automobile insurance in the United States (US territories excluded).
SECURITY DEPOSIT is required and the amount of the security deposit depends on the vehicle and the age of the driver
RENTAL PERIODA 24 hour period constitutes as a rental day as long as it is picked up and returned by 11:00 A.M.
ADDITIONAL DRIVERSAdditional Drivers may be added for a charge of $14 per day per driver. A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance will be required for each additional driver.
AIRPORT TRANSPORTATIONWe offer airport pickup and drop-off service to the surrounding airports. There is a drop-off and pickup fee.
CANCELLATION POLICYAll reservations are non-refundable, but if plans change, the rental fee will be considered a future credit. The future credit is valid for 1 year from the original reservation date.
CURRENCYWe accept all major credit cards (check/debit/prepaid cards are NOT credit cards and will require additional deposit and verification. Please check Debit Card policy for details) Cash is also accepted (please review policy under other) in U.S. currency only.
DEBIT/CHECK/PREPAID CARDSPayment by be made by the following: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express Cards will also accept cash and check/debit cards as forms of payment. YOU MUST CONTACT US PRIOR TO YOUR RENTAL FOR CASH/DEBIT/CHECK/PREPAID CARD POLICIES. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN CANCELLATION OF YOUR RENTAL AND FORFEIT OF YOUR DEPOSIT. An additional deposit of a minimum of $250 and Full Coverage auto insurance will be required for any renters using a card with debit/check/or prepaid anywhere on the card.
CASH PAYMENTSCash is accepted with an additional security deposit of $250 in addition to the cost of the rental. For instance, if your rental is $500, you would need to have $750 cash available at pickup. We DO NOT refund in the form of cash at any time. Refunds will be made by check and sent via regular mail within 3-5 business days of the vehicles return.
CHECK PAYMENTSPersonal checks or handwritten checks are not accepted for any reason. School, government, or institution checks are accepted providing we receive the check a minimum of 14 days prior to the pickup date. We will STILL REQUIRE a credit card authorization to be placed on file – this is for incidentals only and WILL NOT be charged unless vehicle is returned with less fuel, damage, etc.
EMERGENCY CONTACTWe will provide you will a 24 hour nationwide roadside assistance number that may also be used for contacting we should an emergency situation arise outside of normal business hours.
FUELFuel level will be checked and confirmed at the time of rental. Customer is required to bring the vehicle back with the same amount of fuel as when rented. Fuel discrepancies will be billed up to $10.00 US per gallon (actual amount set by daily pump price and will be reflected on written contracts).
GEOGRAPHIC RESTRICTIONSVehicles may travel to any state in the continental United States, with written authorization from Luxury & Exotic Direct Rental. Travel outside of the state of Texas is regulated by GPS tracking units.
HOLIDAY HOURSPick up and drop off for these days are available and may be arranged by contacting us in advance.
MILEAGEAll rentals include 100 miles per day except for all vehicles, and excess mileage will be billed at $ 2.00 per mile, except for the Rolls Royce and exotic vehicles which will be billed at $3.00 per mile.
PETSNo pets are allowed in any vehicle. Service animals are always allowed in our vehicles with proper documentation. A $100 cleanup fee will be assessed to any vehicle with any signs of pet transport.
OVERSTAYSKeeping rental vehicles longer than originally scheduled is generally not a problem providing the vehicle is not already reserved for another customer. Verbal extensions (calling by phone, etc) are NOT honored. Customer must sign a new rental agreement with extended dates and times in order to extend a rental.
INTERNATIONAL TRAVELERSInternational renters will be required to present a valid passport in order to rent a vehicle from us. They will also be required to purchase our Personal Protection Package at $37.50 per day. We will not accept credit card coverage as insurance. Credit card coverage is not primary and does not provide any liability coverage for the vehicle. We require liability coverage for ALL renters.
PAYMENT INFORMATIONPrepayment of a minimum of $100US is required with all reservations. Payment by be made by the following: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. We will also accept cash and check/debit cards as forms of payment. YOU MUST CONTACT CARLS PRIOR TO YOUR RENTAL FOR CASH/DEBIT/CHECK/PREPAID CARD POLICIES. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT AND CANCELLATION OF YOUR RENTAL AND FORFEIT OF YOUR DEPOSIT. PICKUP/RETURNAll renters are required to pick up the vehicle directly from our location (arrangements for delivery, etc, must be prearranged a minimum of 72 hours prior to pickup)
PREPAID RESERVATIONSPrepaid reservations are available by contacting us within 24 hours after booking your reservation online by giving our office a call and letting them know you would like to prepay for your rental. All prepaid bookings are completely nonrefundable if cancelled.
EARLY RETURNSVehicles returning earlier than the scheduled time on the rental agreement will not receive a refund or a credit.
RESERVATION HOLD TIMEReservations are held for three hours from the provided pickup time or one hour from confirmed flight touch-down time. PLEASE provide your flight information when you book your vehicle. This will ensure that we know when you are coming and to avoid having your reservation cancelled! We will attempt to contact you via email and/or phone. If we are unable to reach you in the three hour time or one hour after your confirmed touch-down, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation and retain the reservation deposit.
SMOKINGAbsolutely NO SMOKING in any vehicle. We impose a $250 fine for ANY detection of smoking including smoke odor, ashes, butts in ashtray, etc.
VEHICLE DELIVERYWe can deliver the vehicle anywhere in Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio area for your convenience, there will be a delivery charge applied.
TRAVEL TO CANADAVehicles may not travel to Canada for any reason.
TRAVEL TO MEXICOVehicles may not travel to Mexico for any reason.
